Vice President

Dr. Mary M. Gillam serves as the Vice President of Bee’s Babies Essentials, Inc.  Three-time Telly Award-winning television host, Dr. Gillam is a born-again Christian who loves the Lord.  Called to Evangelism in 1990, and ordained through the Association of International Gospel Assemblies, Incorporated, Dr. Gillam has had the opportunity to conduct numerous outreach ministries around the world.  An Amazon #1 best-selling Christian author of 14 books and the host of the television show, Leadership Table Talk, Dr. Gillam is a former member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) Corps with the Department of Defense and a retired Air Force Colonel.  A former Chief Information Officer (CIO), Dr. Gillam concluded her government career as the Director of Technology, Innovation, and Engineering at the Pentagon.

A serial entrepreneur, and a graduate of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Dr. Gillam is the owner of Premier Strategic Solutions, LLC.  Having led several award-winning organizations, Dr. Gillam is a recognized thought leader in executive leadership and organization development, management, and team building.  She is the inventor of the Leadership Build Zone corporate board game, and the creator of the C.O.R.E Leadership Development Model.  A Green-Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and a John Maxwell leadership certified professional speaker, coach, and trainer, Dr. Gillam is a sought-after speaker and has been quoted in numerous print magazines, radio, and television.  Having served on numerous Boards, Dr. Gillam is the recipient of multiple civilian and military leadership and humanitarian awards.

Events Director

Veronica S. Spears serves as Event Coordinator for Bee’s Essential, Inc.

For more than 40 years Veronica Spears has worked from leadership positions in the creative and business spaces to deliver her clientele educational and

hands-on experiences in the executive world, human relations, design, and special event fields.

 

VERONICA SNOWDEN SPEARS is a native Washingtonian and have lived in Prince Georges County for over 50 years. Raised in a Christian home by two amazing parents is where her true identity began, recognizing who you are and what are your God givens gifts that are within you.

 

Through her life experiences there was never a dull moment. After completing her extended education studies in Business Administrator, then working in the Government and private sector with a total of 35 years.  As a Executive Administration Officer working closely with CFO’s, CEO’s and many Directors in her tenure. Multiple gifts such as organizational skills, design, event organizations skills and more. From these various tasks, she organized and lead many large conferences with my expertise management skills throughout the USA and Canada.

 

She served in the capacity as Public Relations Director for my church of over 6,000 members for over 30 years, overseeing all activities and functions of the church. She headed many concerts, fundraisers, large conferences, and faith-based ministries that was entertained and hosted there.    

 

A Touch of Elegance was founded and established June of 2010 by Veronica Spears. A Touch of Elegance is a full-service wedding and event planning service that provides a wide range of personalized products designs as well as any type of occasion. Treasurer

Beatrice Howell serves as the Treasurer of Bee’s Babies Essentials, Inc.  She is a born-again believer of the Lord Jesus Christ.  She has served others in the role of Deaconess and as a Consecrated Missionary locally and limited international.   She is a retired Associate Director, Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, Cybersecurity Division.   During her 27 years of employment, Beatrice negotiated and managed budgets for vendors and contractual services and support, including coordination with other Federal agencies, tax preparers and software developers across the tax ecosystem, primarily in electronic filing.  She managed Tax Preparer Conferences across the states.   Beatrice earned a M. S. degree in Information Systems Management; a Master’s Certificate in Project Management, Disaster Recovery Professional (CDRP), and Computer and Privacy Security Certifications (CISSP).

 

Beatrice served as a Trustee in a local church developing and managing budgets while serving as the Minister of Outreach and Evangelism.   She teaches Bible related classes and has taught very large audiences during taxpayer conferences sharing IRS procedures and how to be compatible with IRS accounting patrioteers, believing that for others to reach God, we must meet them at the point of their immediate physical needs.  The mission of Bee’s Babies Essentials provides an organization that is focused on meeting needs for those generations at the beginning of their life-cycle.

Training Director

Ms. Karyn R. Collins serves as the Training Manager of Bee’s Babies Essentials, Inc.  She is a native Washingtonian, and she was educated in the Catholic School system, Washington, D.C. with honors.  Graduated from Prince Georges Community College in the1980’s and continuing her degree studies at American University.

 

Over 31 years of teaching experience, Ms. Collins has retired from the U.S. Department of Energy in the Office of Environmental Management in October 2015.  She was responsible for the EM Leadership Excellence Program for managers and supervisors.  The EM Leadership Excellence Program is one of the most critical Human Capital programs and it has been used as a model for subsequent use across all of the Department of Energy.  She formerly worked 23 years as an Employee Development Specialist, teaching and coordinating over 250 to 300 courses/seminars throughout the U.S. Department of Energy for over 5,000 employees.   In 2010, Ms. Collins was promoted to Acting Diversity Manager, in the Office of Human Capital & Corporate Services, Office of Environmental Management, at the U.S. Department of Energy.

 

Although she grew up in the church environment all her life, in October 2002, she had some trials and tribulations in her life that made her come closer to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Her favor scriptures are:  Ask and it will be given unto you, seek and ye shall find, knock and the doors will open unto you, (Matthew 7:7).  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding and all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths, (Proverbs 3:5-6).   She searched for more knowledge of our Lord.

Diamond Willis

Early Childhood Development Manager

Diamond Willis serves as the Early Childhood and Development Coordinator of Bee’s Babies
Essentials, Inc. Diamond has been in education and childcare services for 12 years. Diamond
has taught as lead teacher for grades pre-k through first grade for 10 years in the public school
and charter school setting. Having a true passion and love for children, families, and education, Diamond was voted family favorite teacher in 2018. Diamond has directed and hosted many school events. She has been a dance and cheerleading coach alongside teaching. Diamond was a middle school mentor for 2 years where she led group therapy sessions, character building activities, field trips and peer mediation. In the past 2 years, Diamond has been a partner of the Urban Teachers of America program working as a Host Lead Teacher. She taught and trained teachers during that time who are working as educators today. Diamond currently teaches at a public charter school in Washington, DC, as a first grade teacher. Diamond proclaims, “Teaching is not just what I do, but it is a part of who I am and a true gift from God!”

Board Member.  Dr. Sharon R. Bonds, Ph.D. is the Director of All About Love, Inc., a Professional Women’s Empowerment Group that provides Psychological Healing & Troubled Teens Services that is in Northeast & Northwest Washington, DC.   She has been in community service since 1999.

The All About Love, Inc. was developed primarily for women’s empowerment and their children, but available to all ages & genders.  Services include psychological evaluations, testing, anger management, counseling, workshops, lectures, diet counseling as it relates to emotional disorders, troubled teens outreach and classes.  She conducts organized interventions in the areas of anger management, conflict resolution, domestic violence issues, verbal abuse, life skills, coping skills, gender issues, emotional abuse, anti-violence, sexuality, grief & loss, substance abuse, mood disorders, depression, self-esteem, stress management, social skills, communication skills, relationship issues, problem solving, diet, phobias, trauma issues, enhancing personal growth, individual & group counseling, and crisis intervention.

Dr. Bonds specialty includes Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, Relationship Issues and Women’s issues and follow the work of the theorists who study the psychosocial development of women.  Dr. Bonds works with victims of abuse and adult children of dysfunctional families.  In addition, she counsels professional women who are having difficulty dealing with positions of increased power, are considering a career change, or are suffering from performance or leadership problems.

Dr. Bonds uses solution therapy and a holistic psychosocial, development systems approach in working with most clients.  She provides psycho education on how to build and maintain healthy family systems.  Communication and conflict resolution skills are also modeled and trained.  While clients are in treatment, she helps them create a support system for themselves and educate them about community resources they might access.
